Senior Associate Attorney, Litigation

Job Description:

We are looking for a senior associate attorney with interest in a long-term position within our firm. The ideal candidate has law firm experience and 10+ years of related civil litigation experience.

Candidates should have experience analyzing, researching and drafting briefs, addressing sophisticated legal issues on complex litigation, ranging from motions to dismiss, summary judgment and pre-trial motions. Experience with trials, taking and defending depositions, briefing and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, interfacing with clients and opposing counsel, and attendance of hearings are preferred and communicate with external parties (governmental authorities, external counsel, etc), as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of related civil litigation experience.
  • Applicants must be active members in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
  • Experience including, but not limited to drafting motions, handling discovery requests, taking depositions, and experience in court proceedings.
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision, but able to work within a team when necessary
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Google Chrome is a must.

Candidate should also be willing to participate actively in marketing efforts and should be willing to learn and utilize technology.

Senior Associate Attorney, Transactional

Job Description:

We are looking for a senior associate attorney with interest in a long-term position within our firm. The ideal candidate has law firm experience, a material book of business, and between 10+ years of related business law experience with a practice focus on transactional/contract law.

Candidate will review, negotiate and administer commercial agreements and other documents, form business entities, identify and evaluate business and legal risks in proposed transactions and advise clients on preferred courses, and communicate with external parties (governmental authorities, external counsel, etc), as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 7 years of related business law experience.
  • Applicants must be active members in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
  • Experience dealing with contracts and commercial real estate
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision, but able to work within a team when necessary
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Google Chrome is a must.

Administrative Assistant

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Accounts Manager with printing & emailing invoices for clients and is expected to perform some collection responsibilities. Also, responsible, either directly or indirectly, for assisting the administrative team in achieving expected firm goals. Must be tech savvy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision, but able to work within a team when necessary
  • Must be tech savvy and willing to learn and utilize technology. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, Excel), Google Chrome, and Adobe DC are a must.

General Office Assistance –  Assisting the administrative team as necessary to ensure goals are accomplished by:

Provide receptionist relief, Assist team in recording various Client Costs, i.e., WestLaw, Pacer, Odyssey, PaperCut, FedEx, Postage during relief.

Copy room: Filling copiers, stocking paper and supplies, clearing out boxes, daily.

Drop Filing, scanning and organizing client files (paper and electronic) according to Firm Policies.

Notary Services, as needed.

Posting Mail, as needed.

Deliver and/or file documents to court, county recorder, other law firms, clients, etc., as needed.

Computer/Technology: Ensure team has the tools they need to perform their job duties.

Troubleshoot minor computer and phone issues in office (software issues)

Troubleshoot minor copier/printer jams, fax issues and malfunctions

Billing Department: Assist the Accounts Manager with the Client Billing Cycle. Edit client bills with attorney instruction; email and share via Clio Connect, or mail invoices to clients monthly as directed.

Ensure each new client receives a copy of their executed Engagement Letter & e-welcome packet via Clio Connect. with a copy of their engagement letter and FAQ’s related to their department, billing and any related department for cross-marketing purposes

Completing projects as assigned by Office Administrator.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 to $13.00 /hour
